Five Senses: The Cat

Each animal can see, hear, smell, taste and feel different things. In class we chose the cat and this is what we wrote. You can choose another animal and make up your own riddle, let's see if your family can guess it right!

Los animales también tienen sentidos. En clase elegimos el gato y esto es lo que escribimos entre todos. Puedes elegir otro animal e inventarte tu propia adivinanza, ¡a ver si tu familia acierta el animal!

You can write and draw the sentences and bring them to school if you like!  (Don't forget the capital letters and the full stops!)

Reading tips

                            How can we help our children?

Todos los fines de semana los alumnos llevan un libro de lectura en inglés. Lo importante es que lean esos libros en voz alta, trabajando así la pronunciación y la fluidez. Una vez lean el cuento les podéis pedir que os lo expliquen con sus propias palabras y/o que respondan en inglés a preguntas sencillas sobre la lectura (se las podéis formular en castellano).

También pueden escribir en un folio el título y hacer un dibujo, buscar palabras nuevas o tricky words y anotarlas, copiar una frase que les guste del cuento, escribir ellos una frase inventada, etc. Cualquier actividad que hagáis en la que los niños tengan que emplear el inglés será de gran ayuda.
